Surroundings
Gasthoeve Het Oude Nest is situated near nature reserve Diessens Broek, a stream valley of the river "Reusel", with many sandy roads, surrounded by high trees. The river Reusel is surrounded by meres with ducks, goose and swans. The meadows in Diessens Broek are a perfect area for wading birds.
The forests around Haghorst offer wonderful cycle tracks, in some forests you will find picturesque (biker-) pubs like Bockenreyder and Venkraai.
In the direct surroundings of Haghorst you will find historic villages:
- Oisterwijk,
- Oirschot
- and Hilvarenbeek.
Café-Restaurant Den Horst and Bij Verhoeven are situated at 1 km.
You can cross the dike by bike (completely car-free) and reach wonderful cities like Tilburg and Eindhoven.
